Val'utility legal information
Website Terms
Last updated: 5 November 2026
These terms govern access to and use of the Val'utility website, quotation tools, digital application journey, account features, support functions and related electronic services.
1. Website use and the Val'utility Warranty
Using this website does not activate your Warranty. Ask for your Customer Warranty Agreement and written quotation before accepting. We must accept your application, and both initial fees must clear: the Application and Verification Fee and your first full monthly Subscription Fee. The approved recovery technology must be installed, tested and activated. Your Warranty starts only after these requirements are met and Val’Utility has confirmed your Start Date in writing.
Website information is a general explanation. Customer-specific pricing, eligibility, activation, included benefits, responsibilities, limitations and exclusions are governed by the documents accepted before activation. At application, your vehicle must have a recognised Retail Value and be recorded on eNaTIS as Code 1 or Code 2. Other product eligibility criteria also apply. Code 3 or higher vehicles do not qualify for new Warranty events. The recovery Warranty does not pay for repairing or restoring the vehicle, or for replacing missing parts, accessories or contents after theft, hijacking or recovery. This does not limit rights or liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
Cancellation may be requested at any time by recorded notice, effective on your requested date, which may be immediate, without a cancellation penalty, minimum subscription commitment or technology cost recovery charge. Our Cancellation Policy explains cancellation, arrears, suspension and payment-error protections. Your accepted Customer Warranty Agreement and mandatory rights remain applicable.
2. Lawful use
You must:
- provide information that is accurate, complete, current and lawfully supplied;
- have authority to provide information about the vehicle, owner, driver, payer or representative;
- protect credentials, verification codes and access links;
- follow reasonable security and verification instructions; and
- tell Val'utility if submitted information becomes inaccurate or account security may be compromised.
You may not impersonate another person, submit fraudulent or unlawfully obtained information, interfere with the website or its controls, upload malicious material, or misuse the website or its content.
3. Quotations and product information
A quotation or calculator result is not an activation confirmation, final valuation, guaranteed benefit or assurance that an application or future event will qualify.
Val'utility may correct an obvious data, display, quotation or pricing error before activation, subject to applicable law and the customer's rights.
4. Electronic transactions
Before submitting a transaction, you must have a reasonable opportunity to review and correct material information and access the applicable terms. Val'utility will provide or make available a durable record of the transaction, accepted terms, payment details and relevant confirmation.
Payments are processed in South African Rand through the approved payment provider. Payment begins the fulfilment process but does not by itself activate the Warranty.
5. Intellectual property
The website, Val'utility name and branding, written content, graphics, software and interface elements are owned by or licensed to Val'utility unless stated otherwise. No ownership right is transferred by your use of the website.
6. Availability and external services
Val'utility may use providers for hosting, communications, verification, valuation, payments, installation, monitoring, recovery and support. Reasonable steps will be taken to maintain the website and customer journey, but uninterrupted or error-free availability is not guaranteed.
A technical outage does not remove a statutory right or an existing contractual entitlement.
7. Liability and mandatory rights
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits a right or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited. Subject to that safeguard, Val'utility is not responsible for harm caused solely by unlawful website use, materially inaccurate information supplied by a user, compromised user credentials, or a third-party service outside Val'utility's reasonable control.
These website terms do not replace or reduce obligations in an active Val'utility Warranty.
8. Changes, contact and law
The website displays the current version and date of these terms. A change to these website terms does not silently amend an accepted Val'utility Warranty.
Questions may be sent to info@valutility.co.za. These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa.
