Governing Laws and Jurisdiction
Last updated: 30 July 2026

1. Applicable South African law
Potentially relevant legislation includes the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008, Electronic Communications and Transactions Act 25 of 2002, Protection of Personal Information Act 4 of 2013, Promotion of Access to Information Act 2 of 2000, and other legislation applicable to the final product, payment method, information processing, recovery operations and customer type.
2. Mandatory rights
Nothing on the website or in the Val'utility Warranty excludes, restricts or waives a customer right or Val'utility obligation that cannot lawfully be excluded, restricted or waived.
